Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
This policy explains how Tris Digital ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit trisdigital.com.au or contact us through it. We are based in Perth, Western Australia, and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information we collect
Contact form. If you use the form on our contact page, we collect the name, email address and message you type in. We use it only to reply to you and to discuss your project.
Email. If you write to [email protected], we keep your email and our correspondence with you.
Analytics data. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It collects information such as pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, referring website, and a unique identifier stored in a cookie. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not send it your name or email address.
Technical data. Like most websites, our server and hosting provider may log your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
We do not sell products online, take payments, or run user accounts on this site.
Google Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (typically named _ga and _ga_<ID>) to distinguish visitors and sessions. Google processes this data on our behalf and may transfer it to servers outside Australia, including the United States. Google's use of the data is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by:
- installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on;
- blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings; or
- enabling "Do Not Track" or a tracker-blocking extension.
The site also sets a small number of essential cookies (for example, a session and security token) so that the contact form works. These do not track you across other sites.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics (Google LLC): site usage statistics, as above.
- Google Fonts: the typeface on this site is loaded from Google's servers, so your IP address is shared with Google when a page loads.
- Email delivery (Mailgun): when you submit the contact form, your message is sent to us by email through a transactional email provider.
- Hosting provider: the site and form submissions are stored on servers operated by our hosting provider.
These providers handle information under their own privacy policies.
How we use your information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, provide and quote for our services, improve the site, keep it secure, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing, and we only send you email in reply to your enquiry unless you ask for more.
Disclosure
We share personal information only with the service providers listed above, where they need it to operate the site or deliver your message, or where the law requires it.
Storage and retention
Contact form submissions are stored on the site's server and in our email inbox. We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of our dealings with you, then delete them when they are no longer required. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period set in our Analytics account.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, including serving the site over HTTPS and restricting access to the admin area. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Access and corrections
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, contact us first and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
